My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Mitzi is approx 18 months old and 13 lbs. She looks like a schnauzer/terrier mix. She has a lot of personality and once she gets over her shyness is your best friend. She likes to run out to the yard with the other dog, and she does pretty well on leash. She gets along with the other dogs and is just a really sweet little girl. She tested positive for heartworms when we rescued her and has been treated with the required series of injections, and she also has been started on monthly heart guard. We require all of our dogs to be on a heart worm preventive on a monthly basis..

The total adoption fee of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
