My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET MIKO!

This super adorable squishy girl is named Miko! Miko is a 10 year old Pug who was surrendered to City of Elderly Love because her former family could no longer appropriately care for her. She landed a loving foster home where she's settled right into her new routine and has met lots of new people and animals. Miko is now ready to spread her wings and land her dream forever home!

Miko absolutely adores her human friends and will follow you from room to room to make sure your day is going splendidly. She'll snuggle up with you whenever she gets the chance and is always up for a car ride! Miko is currently living with other dogs and gets along with them great! She'll try her best to keep up with the antics of her younger foster siblings though she can't move around like she used to as a pup. She's also living with cats with whom she doesn't mind at all. Miko lived with very young kids in her previous home and would probably appreciate a home with older kids who will be mindful of her aging joints.

Miko is almost completely blind but it doesn't slow her down in the least. She has adapted to not being able to see much more than shapes and shadows. Miko is also currently on an anti-inflammatory to help keep her aging hips from hurting. While she is mostly housebroken, because it was painful for her to go to the bathroom before starting the anti-inflammatories, she sometimes wouldn't be able to hold her bowels for long periods of time. That is now improving since she's much more comfortable, but she may need additional care for her arthritis as she ages.

Miko is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and will be microchipped prior to going to her forever home. She is also negative for lymes disease and heartworm. Miko also recently received a professional dental at our vets! Interested in adopting her?
