Gus's Story...
I’m a beautiful young man who really enjoys life and the company of people and other dogs and cats! I do great with children…I’m very courteous, cautious and I love to play with them! I can be a little shy sometimes, but that will pass, as long as I find a home where I gets lots of love and training . I’m eager to please, very intelligent, loyal and oh so handsome. Will you give me a chance? 7 months old-43lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, 5 week training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam (in the Portland/Milwaukie area), leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Portland Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
