Sasha is a 2 year old brown hippo. She was rescued from the Stanislaus Shelter on 6/16. Sasha and her hippo friend had owners who never came for them. Her friend was rescued out of state and little miss Sasha was left behind. She was deemed aggressive by the shelter, but we have not seen anything but love since she has been in her foster home. Her last day here on Earth was to be 6/17, but Big Dawgs pulled her in the nick of time. She just wanted to get out of her cage and was begging to go home.
She currently lives with 3 large male dogs and loves children as young as 4. She has not yet been tested with cats or female dogs, but seems to enjoy everyone. She is wonderfully crate trained and sits well. She is just a little bundle of love weighing 55 pounds. As with any "bull" breed, she thrives on grain free food.
Sasha loves to cuddle with her human, but is not needy. She will wait patiently in her crate while you go to work and will wiggle her little butt when you get home. She is an amazing guard dog and walks well on leash. Sasha loves going for car rides and will make a gorgeous new family member for just about anyone. She also enjoys catching the water from the hose and takes treats like a gentle beauty.
