Remi's Story...
Hi there. My name is Remi and I am a healthy little girl who has a brother named River, and a sister named Rain. We were in a house in Great Neck, NY with a lot of kitties when we decided to go outside and explore, and boy did we have an adventure! We were very lucky that our exploration led us to a very kind lady’s yard. This kind lady fed us, played with us and took us to the doctor who gave us a clean bill of health—we were all very brave and didn’t fuss at all, in fact we liked the attention. We three kitties love to play with each other and in fact we can get along with just about anyone. But we know that we most likely can’t stay together and we understand. I am a fun-loving, clever, mischievous but well-mannered little girl who loves to play, tumble, relax in the sunshine, get belly rubs and cuddle. When you hold me in your lap, I will purr and be so content. I have had all the adventures I want and now the only thing I want is to be your loyal, loving companion. I will repay your kindness ten times over in cuddles and purrs. Please come and meet me by contacting humaneurbangroup@aol.com. Please include your name, address and telephone number. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remi, a Great Neck Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Neck, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Neck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Neck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Neck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Neck paves the way for another one to be saved.
