Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Coda Lunga which is Italian for "long tail!" She is a black and tan spayed female Shepherd with the most beautiful markings! She is also sporting a pair of rear dew-claws which is very rare. She has warm brown eyes and loves to smile!
Coda was found trotting along the highway, half-starved and wet after a heavy dew. She weighed a paltry 35-pounds when she should have weighed 60.
Coda is housebroken and knows her basic commands.
She is still very lean and needs some groceries to reach her perfect weight.
Coda is a very high energy dog, constantly moving and shadowing her human caretakers. She is the original Velcro dog and escorts her human everywhere, guessing where the next step will take you and proceeding you through every doorway. You may find that you will never have to use the bathroom alone again!
She loves to be with people so much, she would do best in a home with adults who spend most of the day around the house, although she will stay outside if she needs to.
She has never been crated by her foster, as she would require a very large crate.
She promises to never be out of arm's reach. She is an alpha personality so she would also be best in a home with either male dogs only, or no other dogs.
Since she was hungry for most of her young life, she needs to be fed alone.
She has lived with cats, but her curiosity about them makes them nervous and she doesn't understand why they hiss at her!
Unfortunately, sometime in her past life she contracted heart-worms, so that would have to be corrected as well. But at a year old, she should have no trouble beating that rap! She is long and lean and moves with a fluid grace that is usually only seen in wild animals, but she is also still just a puppy and will occasionally knock over a food bowl because she forgets she has grown to be 58" long from the tip of her nose to the tip of her very long tail! She can really make tracks so she would be the perfect exercise partner.
