My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who would have thought that this young lady would turn out to be such a pretty Rottweiler Mix?!

Meet Nika. She was born 01/21/2012 and is a little over 5 years old now. Nika weighs around 50 pounds.

Our volunteers found Nika in heartbreaking conditions. She was emaciated, almost hairless, covered with infections, goopy eyes and very shy. Within no time, Nika made a full recovery and all it took was a little TLC. We are happy to announce that Nika is ready for her forever home.

Life may not started out all that great for Nika but her once hopeless living situation has taken a beautiful turn. Not just did she get rescued just in time and made a quick recovery at our rehabilitation facility. She was also welcomed into an amazing foster home, where she now really starts to blossom and finally enjoys life.

This is what her foster mom had to say about her:
Nika is house and crate trained, walks on leash without pulling and will sit for a yummy reward. She gets along great with all of her furry foster siblings. It took Nika a few weeks until she stopped chasing our cat but now she has finally accepted her as part of the pack.

She is a mellow kind of girl and not too clingy. Nika is initially a bit shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly. She adores her humans and has been very loyal to us. Her favorite past time is going for walks, playing with other dogs and she loves riding in the car, where she behaves like a true lady.
