FRED's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

FRED's Story...
When Fred arrived at the shelter, he was covered with a huge mat of dried scrunched up fur. But even though he was uncomfortable, he had a sweet personality that shone through.

Now he is cleaned up and we are getting a sense of who he is. He is house trained, happily sleeps in a crate through the night, is not completely comfortable on a leash (he was probably rarely taken for walks and may have been allowed to just run loose in his neighborhood), he is very comfortable with other dogs, and would adjust to being with cats.

He probably is not a dog you could leave home all day while you go to work. He really does like to be with his people. A really nice dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FRED, a Emeryville Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Emeryville, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Emeryville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Emeryville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Emeryville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Emeryville paves the way for another one to be saved.
