My name is Boo, and I'm a very special kitty. You see, I have Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I know that sounds really scary, but it's really not! It just means that I have a hard time with motor control, so I wobble around when I move around. But don't worry! It doesn't affect my life expectancy or the quality of my life! I will still run around with the best of them, just maybe not in a straight line! My condition will not worsen over time, this is just how I am, and I think it makes me a pretty special guy. I'm a huge sweetheart too! I absolutely adore people, and I will be extra silly just to get your attention! I don't get along with other cats, so I would like to be the only kitty in the house, I get more attention that way! Come and meet me today, I'm sure I will wobble my way right into your heart!Cat adoption fees are generally $109 (plus tax), unless otherwise noted, and dog adoption fees are $169 (plus tax), unless otherwise noted. Adoption fees include necessary vaccinations, a microchip, testing (FeLV/FIV for cats and heartworm test for dogs) and spaying/neutering of every animal that is adopted from our facility. If the animal is too young for sterilizing, the adopter is responsible to see that this is done. Once we receive confirmation that the adopted animal has been altered, a refund will be refunded ($75 for dogs and $40 for cats).

About Homeward Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are a small shelter that rescues pets from local impounds whose time is up, and would otherwise be euthanized. Because we only have 9 dog kennels and 17 cat kennels, we are very limited on space and often, we can't take in owner surrenders, but will do our best to help people in rehoming their pets. We offer several services besides adoption, including microchip clinics, pet-friendly rental housing listings, and Safe Paws (foster care for the pets of domestic violence). We are the only shelter in the FM area that rescues both cats and dogs, so without our help, hundreds of dogs and cats would be euthanized each year in local pounds.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter is in north Fargo, near the Yunker's Children's Museum, located just off of University Dr. on 28th Ave. N. We are open Monday-Friday from 11am-7pm, Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm. We have adoption events throughout the year, and you can find more information on our website at www.homewardonline.org or our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/HomewardAnimalShelter.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters are required to fill out an application before adoption, and we process the application by the end of the following business day. All adopters must be 18 years of age or older. Once approved the fees for adoption are $109 for cats and $169 for dogs. Adopters must complete an adoption contract at the time of adoption.
