My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pippin is a dog friendly 12 pound Yorkie in search of a retirement home. Pippin weighs 13 pounds and is house trained. He is attentive, as well as, independent. Pippin would rather be by your side or next to you instead of in your lap. His favorite spot is the highest point on the couch where he can watch the world go by.

Don't let this boy's age fool you. He's agile and gets very excited when he catches sight of a leash or his favorite toy.

Pippin's ideal home would be with a retired caretaker. As a small dog, Pippin is uncomfortable around small children that move fast.

Pippin is being fostered in Shrewsbury.

The adoption fee is $150.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
