My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Zoe. I am four years old, spayed and front-declawed. I’m looking for a forever home to share with my sister Chloe. My sister and I used to have a home together. We loved to play with our toys and run around together. Most of all, we loved to be with our human. We had one goal in our lives, to love and take care of our human, and we did it happily.

We thought we were loved, too.

One day our human put us in a carrier and took us for a drive. We thought we were taking a trip and we were so excited. Instead, we were put in a cage together.

We were in a shelter. It was too loud in there. There were too many other cats there, and they were all scared.

We were scared, too. But we tried to be brave. We knew our human would come back for us, so we waited patiently.

We were broken-hearted and we missed him so much. Didn’t he love us anymore? We had always been told that we were good kitties. What had we done wrong? We waited for another chance to show our human how much we loved him.

We waited for a long time, but we never saw our human again.

Chloe and I were so scared. One by one the other cats disappeared and never came back. We knew that we were running out of time. We were so scared that we stopped eating. How could we go on without a human to love and take care of?

We started to give up, but then we were rescued. Now we are getting our second chance at life. We are ready to love again, and be loved. We are waiting for our new family and forever home. We are waiting for you.

*Zoe and Chloe are looking for a quiet home where they are the only cats. They are a little shy and scared at first but they are learning to trust again. They have a special adoption fee of $50 for the pair. If you would like to adopt these sweet kitties, please e-mail us at avertingcatastrophe@gmail.com.
