Hello I am Baxter. It’s easy to see why everyone falls under my spell. I am quite the enchanter. I am spunky, energetic and oh so fun. I loooooove to play! I am still a bit of a puppy at heart and really like bounce and play- but I was always told that that’s what puppies do. I play great with other dogs, I like children and am already doing really well with my crate training- what more could you ask for? So why no come on in and spend some time getting to know me. Don’t make me wait too long to steal your heart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
