Hi there! My name is Millie. I came to DCACC with my very best bud Maggie when our owner had to move into assisted living and we couldn't come along. Our lives got turned upside down for awhile but I knew everything would be okay as long as Maggie was with me! Now we are all settled in at the shelter and ready to give family living a second try. Does your family have love and laps enough for two? You do? Great! Come by the shelter and visit me and Maggie today! Hi, I'm Maggie! About Our Shelter...

Dupage County Animal Care and Control is a self-supporting county department designed to:

Prevent and control rabies through bite investigation and rabies registration.

Enforce state and county animal control and welfare laws.

Protecting animals from improper use, abuse, neglect, inhumane treatment and health hazards.

Operate a shelter for stray and owner-relinquished non-native animals.

Promote responsible pet-ownership and animal welfare through counseling and law enforcement.

Rescue animals that are lost, diseased, injured, or in peril.

Provide public education programs for adults and children.

Preventing the birth of unwanted animals.

Reuniting lost pets and their families.

Adopting animals into loving, responsible homes.

Protecting the residents of DuPage County from hazards or nuisances caused by animals.

Our address is 120 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. We are located at the northwest corner of County Farm and Manchester Roads, approximately 5 miles west of I-355, 1/4 mile north of Roosevelt Road.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoptions are available for people in the DuPage County and surrounding Illinois area. Adoption fees are $115.00 for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens, $15.00 - $25.00 for birds, ferrets, gerbils, hamsters and $40 for rabbits. All dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccinations (if applicable) and have an Avid microchip for identification.
