Van Gogh's Story...
Van Gogh is one handsome man! This seven year old guy found himself at the shelter after his elderly owner could no longer care for him. As a middle-aged cat, he's hoping to leave shelter life behind and join a new family!

Van Gogh is incredibly laid-back and prefers to spend his days lounging about. He loves to look out the window. His ideal home would have the perfect spot where he can continue to check out the birds and squirrels! Van Gogh is quite affectionate and will head-butt your hand, just seeking attention. We absolutely adore him. We know you will too!

Van Gogh previously lived with a dog and has done well with other cats. He is front declawed, so he must stay indoors only. Van Gogh has been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $80. To meet him, just stop by the shelter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Van Gogh, a Germantown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
