Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Grace is currently living in a foster home in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Grace was found as a stray. She had been hit by a car and was taken to the Harris County shelter in Houston, TX. She sat there for several days before she was rescued. Somehow she was overlooked? She was sweet and quiet and didn't fuss at all! She was immediately taken to the vet. They assessed her injuries and were able to surgically repair her hip. She wore a fancy red cast for weeks while she healed. She was the best patient! She seemed to be so content and never complained.
Once her cast came off, it was just a short amount of time before she started using her leg again. The only evidence of the injury is that her coat is shorter where it was shaved for surgery. Once she healed, we addressed her heart worms. She has completed her heart worm treatment and is ready to start her new life. Grace loves to play with other small dogs. She is super sweet and likes to be held like a baby. She gives sweet kisses and loves to play with toys! She isn’t super active…but every once in a while she will run through the back yard super fast….just because she can, I suppose. Grace is 15 lbs and 2-3 years old. She loves other small dogs. We have not seen her around cats or children in her foster home in Texas. Grace is crate trained and is house trained. (Her foster home has a dog door) Grace is a charming little girl! She has a lot of love to give. Is she the one you have been searching for?
