Meeko's Story...
"Hello! I'm MEEKO. Check out my Million Dollar Smile! One look at my face and you know that I'm affectionate, friendly, and sweet-as-pie. Every person I meet is a potential pal. I'm a handsome seven-year-old cattle dog mix who's looking for a loving person or family to call my own. I enjoy going on walks, snuggling, and spending time with people. I like other dogs, too. I'd do best in a family where the kids are older and considerate. While cattle dogs tend to be high-energy and work driven, my personality is more relaxed and easygoing. I'm more suited to family picnics than to working on the ranch. I'm still smart and obedient like cattle dogs, though. I'm house trained and I'll happily sit on command. I'd sure love to meet you, so please head on over to the El Cajon Animal Shelter and spend some time with me out in the play yard. Everyone agrees that I'm a wonderful fellow who'll be a great companion. Love, Meeko"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meeko, a El Cajon Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
