My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in meeting Porcelyn, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.php

Porcelyn, born approximately 6/14/16, has been through a lot in the past month. Thankfully, she is a young, healthy girl who will not only thrive in the right home, but will be able to forget her unstable past couple of months and finally get the stability and adoration she deserves. Porcelyn was taken from her person who tearfully had to rehome her after finding herself in a situation of pending homelessness and knowing that in her condition, would have to give her up and into a home. You see, Porcelyn is deaf and will need to be kept indoors at all times knowing that she would not be able to protect herself from possible predators, cars, or any other dangers the outside world would bring to someone so vulnerable. She even knows some sign language.

As with all Fluff Buddies kitties, Porcelyn is up to date on her vaxes, spayed, dewormed, given flea treatment, and nails trimmed. She is extremely affectionate and absolutely adores her human with purring, head-butting, and kisses and will be very loyal and loving to her human that she will closely bond with. Porcelyn will need to be the only animal in the house as she hates other cats and has had a rather bad experience with dogs in her former home. In her foster home, she has not been around the family's mellow dog and it is not known how she would do. Additionally, although Porcelyn is unable to hear, she will need a calm home as she can be agitated in a home with a lot of activity and should be allowed to come around in her new home slowly and patiently. Sometimes, when a cat is deaf, they will meow and meow loudly. Porcelyn is actually a rather quiet kitty but the one time that she was vocal, it was a loud and assertive meow.

She is not a fan of being picked up, but not to worry as she loves to follow her human around and will love to jump up anywhere to be close to her best friend (you) . This little girl would just be such a great and loving kitty to her human. Not to mention, she is quite the stunner with those gorgeous blue eyes and long ears. Oh, and she absolutely loves a window seat where she can safely watch the world.

Since adoptions can be a stressful place with all of the commotion and other cats around, she will not be at adoptions and will be available for specially arranged meet and greet. Looking for a forever home or long term foster home.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
