Buster's Story...
Hi! My name is Buster, and I am a very sweet, mellow, senior Boxer. I was surrendered by my family when they lost their home.

I thought my golden years would be spent with my family, with hugs and snuggles and long naps on the couch. Instead, I now live at the humane society, and I am really depressed. You see, even though they gave me a soft bed and I get walks every day, I don't understand how I ended up here. I've been a good boy in every way.

They tell me that my adoption fee is lower because I'm a senior, or that if a senior human wants me for a companion, I'm free. I seem to be healthy except for some hair loss from an allergy, which is clearing up now that I have flea treatment and grain-free food.

If you'd like a calm and steady companion, if you'd like an easy dog full of love and kisses, I'm perfect for you. If you have a calm lifestyle, a soft couch or dog bed, and room in your heart for a senior dog abandoned at the start of his golden years, you're perfect for me.

Lets be happy together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Port Jervis Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Port Jervis, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Port Jervis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Jervis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Jervis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Jervis paves the way for another one to be saved.
