Eve and Leo were rescued from a high-kill shelter by an independent rescuer who stepped in to save them. They settled into her home and blossomed, exhibiting a close connection to each other, yet were not finding a home. When The Rescue House had an opportunity to help out, we took in the pair and they did find a home, but developing allergies in a family member resulted in their coming back to us.

Eve is a very sweet girl. Eve will come up to you seeking pets and attention, though she's not really one to settle in for the long haul cuddles. She's more active than Leo and enjoys her playtime with small stuffed animals and toy balls. She is a lovely cat who is truly a wonderful companion.
Leo is the nicest cat one can imagine. He likes his cat trees, and if you come up to him while he's on a face-height perch he will touch your nose with his in a sweet kitty kiss. Leo chirps when he purrs and will do figure-8s around your feet. While quieter than Eve and needing a longer adjustment time, Leo is very lovable, and will keep you company when you work on the computer.
Both cats prefer the evenings in their home when things are quiet-that's when they'll be active and have fun playing with each other and also their favorite stuffed toys. Eve and Leo sleep together and Leo relies on Eve for guidance and reassurance. They MUST be adopted together.

Eve and Leo are good with other cats. Though they have met a dog, neither cat was really happy about the situation-they just put up with ignoring it as best they could and would prefer no canines. A quieter home with cat-savvy people who understand that they need a little patience would be best. They have lived comfortably with teenagers though would not do well with young children.

Eve and Leo were within hours of losing their lives when they were saved. They are charming kitties who just want the simple pleasures in life: safe harbor, enough to eat, and good people with whom to share a lifetime of love. Can you give them their hearts' desire?
