Rascal's Story...
Adopted!!! Rascal is a 1 and a half year old neutered mini-Dachshund. He is black and tan and weighs 9 lbs. He is current on shots, heartworm and parasite free. He passed his exam with flying colors. Rascal has a sweet disposition, loves to be in your lap and likes being held and carried around, but he's not just a lap dog. He is full of energy, still thinks he's a puppy, and needs an owner that can spend time with him. Rascal gets along great with other dogs and children, but he doesn't do well with cats. ( he chases and annoys them) He is working on his house training and learning fast. $75 adoption 968-3260 Pensacola area To see Rascal, call Ingrid at 850-968-1608 or e-mail:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rascal, a Cantonment Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Cantonment, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Cantonment.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cantonment already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cantonment breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cantonment paves the way for another one to be saved.
