Reba's Story...
ADOPTED!!!!!Reba, was rescued from horrible circumstances and is finally getting care for two broken front legs. She is a 3 year old, Rat Terrier, spayed female, UTD on shots, HW negative, good with other dogs and children. Sweet, peaceful and playful. She gets around fine, is active, and eats well. The first cast should be removed in 3-4 weeks. When strength is regained in that leg, then the other leg will be placed in a cast. Her treatment is covered by the Junior Humane Society. Prospective owners will need to be aware that she requires weekly visits to the Veterinary Hospital. Reba is deserving of a forever home where she can heal, recover, and be loved. She has been in foster care for two months. Reba weighs 14 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reba, a Cantonment Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Cantonment, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Cantonment.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cantonment already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cantonment breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cantonment paves the way for another one to be saved.
