for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

April's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

April's Story...
April is a 9 year old purebred Weimaraner who is losing her home. Her dad has had a stroke and is no longer able to care for her. April is very obedient, housetrained, and good around cats, kids, and other dogs. She would love nothing more than a person to be loyal and dedicated to...and will even bring you the paper!

Can you help April find her forever home?

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

April, a Fort Atkinson Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
