My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ILSA is an approximately 3 year old German shepherd dog who was a stray at an overcrowded shelter in northern California.

This lovely dog has a great temperament, is housetrained, crate trained and rides well in the car. She is pretty good on leash and knows her basic obedience. ILSA is a nice size at 61 pounds.

ILSA is good with other dogs and likes people. She sometimes is leery of new men that come into her foster home, but loves her male veterinarian...so not all men! We do not know how ILSA is with cats or children.

ILSA has been diagnosed with a mild case of pannus, an eye condition that requires eye drops twice a day for a few weeks, then one drop a day for a few weeks, then *hopefully* no eye drops! The cost of the eye drops administered once a day is about $30 a month.

To read about this eye condition see this link:

ILSA's adoption fee is $200 and includes spay, vaccinations, microchip, collar & ID tag, and her eye drops.
