Rico is a male Ringneck Parrot/Parakeet. We are getting to know him, but he is interested in engaging. With more time and trust, he will step up as well. Please make sure that you are allowed to adopt IRNs in your state BEFORE applying to meet Rico. IRNs live 30+ years and are native to Southern Asia and Africa. If you are interested in meeting Rico, please follow the process online: www.ctparrotrescue.org/adopt
Connecticut Parrot Rescue was founded in July 2015 and as of September 2016, is an official 501c3 non-profit public charity. We are completely run by Connecticut-based volunteer foster homes, who aid the transition and rehabilitation processes of companion parrots into loving adoptive homes. Please browse around our website to learn more about our organization, our exciting partnerships, how you can get involved and of course... our amazing adoptable parrots! We strive to give our parrots the best possible care, and then integrate them into suitable and loving homes.
