Ebony's Story...
Ebony is a 1 year domestic short hair kitten. She was rescued after being dragged by a car. She had lost all the padding on her paws, and her legs and paws developed abscesses. Most of her claws were ground down so far that we didn't think they would grow back, but luckily they have. She endured all the medical treatment and was so sweet through it all. She is all healed and is a very loving and curious girl. She loves to chase cat toys and laser pointers, and plays with other cats and dogs. She is very sweet and entertaining to watch.

Ebony is spayed, negative for FIV/FelV (Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS), up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, treated with dewormer and flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $115.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ebony, a Flushing Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
