Note about puppies: Puppies require lots of training, socialization, and time. Please be realistic in the amount of time you have available to dedicate to these precious pups. Puppies need to be let out and fed every 3-4 hours, they will have potty training accidents for several months, will need obedience training, leash training and further socialization to keep them the happy and sweet puppies we love. Puppies will have medical needs as they further develop and may develop unknown health problems, allergies, genetic conditions, and in general are more prone to having emergency medical bills due to accidents and/or ingesting foreign objects. It is very important to realize that puppies require a lot of hard work, dedication, and money. They will not be fully grown until about 2 years old and will not have a calm adult attitude until well after that (if at all). After all this if you are truly ready to welcome a new puppy into your family please will out an application on our website. www.rainbowrescues.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Chicopee Labrador Retriever/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Chicopee, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Chicopee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicopee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicopee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicopee paves the way for another one to be saved.
