Jake is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Jake is currently fostered in Morriston, FL (Levy County).

Jake is a 45 lb, about 2-year-old border collie mix. He has two blue eyes! He wandered onto his foster mom's property in late 2015 and she has taken great care of him. We feel he is kind of bored living on the farm with his foster mom stretched thin working, caring for other dogs and livestock, and that he deserves a chance at a home where he will get more one-on-one attention and ideally be able to participate in dog sports classes. He would love to go lure coursing or agility. Jake is very sweet and loving with people. He is not kid-tested, but we do not anticipate issues. He does great with other dogs and is on the submissive side. Jake is neutered, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
