My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ellie is a 12 yer old 5 pound Yorkie that was dumped in a shelter. Ellie is a fun loving little girl whoe is happy from the moment she wakes, to the moment she goes to bed. Her favorite way to sleep is lying in bed with you and under a sheet. She is potty-trained and has never had an accident in the home. Ellie loves going on walks and will never pull or jerk you. She has an outgoing personality, which means she lovingly greets all people and other animals. Ellie has no teeth but loves to eat both wet and dry dog food. She is quiet in nature, but will softly bark to let you know, she hears something and has a concern. Her name was Ethel; but, she prefers to be called Ellie. If you repeat her name fast three times or more, Ellie will get excited and run over to you giving you as many kisses as you allow her.

Ellie has a few medical issues that she needs your help with; but, nothing too challenging. Due to poor treatment and neglect, she has arthritis in her back and takes glucosamine and she has dry eyes so needs daily eye drops. She is very helpful and easy to give her medications to.
