My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a 4-6 year old mosaic female chinchilla that is looking for her new home. Her name is Snowy. She originally came to NWI as a culled breeder, and was adopted out to a great home. Unfortunately, a member of the family started to develop allergies, a few months after her adoption, so she’s back here with us, and looking for a new family again!
Snowy’s color is called mosaic, which is basically a white chinchilla with greyish markings. As you can see from her pictures, she’s mostly white with some grey shading here and there. Very fluffy and adorable!
Snowy is great chinchilla. While she definitely has some energy, she does just fine with being handled and petted, and will chill with you for short periods of time. However, what she’d like even better would be to be having playtime with you! That would just be awesome! She LOVES her hammock here, and hopes she’ll have one in her new home… along with that awesome thing called playtime. Sweet girl, doesn’t bite.
This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if she gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether she might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
This chinchilla would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.
This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. She will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.
Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). We are not able to ship this time of year, due to the high temperatures.
The adoption fee for Snowy would normally be $100, but due to our Super Summer sale, she is now available for $75!! Must be adopted or have a deposit down by July 31st. Sorry, our multi-chin discount does not apply during this sale.
