My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet little Annie would be the light in anyone's life - especially a gentle senior citizen. She loves completely and unconditionally, and, once you are her person, she will never take her big, brown eyes away from you. Annie was found as a stray in central NJ, so we know nothing of her background. Someone had taken the time to craft a little bead necklace with her name and attach it to her collar. So, she was probably loved. But no one came to claim her during her month at the city shelter, and she had no adoption applications - Annie had run out of time. Older dogs don't stand much of a chance when they are surrounded in the shelter by so many young ones. Her vet thinks she is 8 or 9, which is really still middle-aged for small dogs. Annie has just been spayed and also had a complete dental. As with many older unspayed females, she has a few small mammary tumors. However, a biopsy on one found it to be benign - we rejoiced in the news! Now we could put her up for adoption! Annie is being fostered in Atlantic County, NJ and her asking adoption fee is $150.

E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
