Brownie's Story...
Brownie, Diamond, Gizmo and Harley are some of the cutest little pups with great big personalities. They are very social, puppy pad trained, snugglers, love to play with their toys and are just adorable. They are about 11 weeks old and weigh around 7 pounds. They are currently being cared for by our PADDLE program trustees in West TN(Prisoners and Dogs Developing Life Experiences). This program pairs female trustees with puppies. They care for them while they finish their vetting and can be placed for adoption. The begin basic manners training (no biting, no chewing etc...) and train them to puppy pads. They are also in the jail with other puppies so they have lots of play time! If you'd like to add one of these puppies to your family please visit our website and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Staunton Dachshund/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
