found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Walton reminds me of those good-natured family dogs who starred in sitcoms from my childhood like Tiger from the Brady Bunch or Tramp from My Three Sons. He's currently looking for work as an extra in your family!
Walton's very sweet-natured and friendly to all. He was born around June 2010 and weighs around 40 lbs.
Walton has heartworms but we will see him through this. Heartworms aren't contagious, you and other animals will not contract heartworms from him. They're curable when caught early and show no outward symptoms except in advanced cases (coughing). Heartworms are caused by mosquitoes and are all too common here in the south but are completely preventable with an inexpensive monthly pill. Walton is taking a monthly pill (which we'll pay for) until a blood test (which we'll also pay for) shows he's rid of them. This could take 6 months to over a year. We've had many happy adopters who've rescued a heartworm-positive dog. Speak to your vet if you need more feedback.
Email Homelesspetsfoundation@gmail.com or call 770-971-0100 for more info. Or fill out an adoption application, found at www.homelesspets.com/adoption-form.
Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, micro-chipping, vaccinations up to date at the time of adoption, one free check-up at Town & Country main vet clinic within 14 days of adoption and a free session with Tenasity dog trainers!
