Abelle's Story...
5 July 2017 - WHY IS THIS GIRL STILL HERE? She is so sweet, so cute, and like a little pocket lab! She is shy with new things and people but if there is another dog around, she truly blossoms into a bouncing girl. We adore her antics and cannot wait to see her bloom in a long term home with a family of her own. She loves to swim, and loves to play fetch as well as tug of war with other dogs. Abelle has a beautiful smile and an even more beautiful spirit.

3 June 2017 Pupdate: Abelle is an awesome puppy! She is turning into a gorgeous girl. She is shy with new people but once you have her heart, she is yours! She must go to a home with other dogs because that helps her adjust and she loves to play. Abelle spent some time in foster care and got to go to a lot of places like PetCo and Starbucks to meet new people and see new things. She deserves an amazing long term home. _____________________________________________________________ 18 March 2017 Pupdate: Abelle is a sweet girl with an amazing smile. She is guessed as a lab mix with something small and squatty, like a corgi. She isn't going to be a huge girl we don't think as she is still itty bitty at 5 months estimated. She is a great girl and we hope a family falls for her soon! No puppy deserves to grow up in rescue. _____________________________________________________________ UPDATE: Skinny no more! This girl is all rounded out and lovely! She has the sweetest little personality and is so cuddly. Abelle has gone from skin and bones to a healthy bouncy girl! We have loved watching her thrive but now it is time for her to find a family of her own! She is ready for adoption and a loving, forever family. She is vet estimated at around 5 months old and weighed 14 lbs so she's not predicted to be a very large adult. ________________________________________________________ This sweet little girl is on the road to recovery. She was brought to rescue with 12 others (a true bakers dozen) by a fellow rescuer after being surrendered by their owner. We are so grateful she did surrender to find them the care they needed because they all really needed some help and extra TLC. Little Abelle is the worst off. She is skin and bones, was dehydrated and put on IVs. Her gums were pale and she was full of worms. She is now off of IVs and being fed slowly and often to build her body back up. She has been dewormed twice and has been pooping and vomiting worms for 24 hours. We are working hard to keep their living area clean as they recover and rid their bodies of the parasites. Abelle is named after sweet Abel, the doberman that was laid to rest the day she was saved. We know she is a fighter like he was and we know she will recover. We are told she is about 4 months old but she's the size of an 8 week old. It's ok though. It's only going to get better from here! _________________________________________________________ If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please complete the adoption application located at Adoption fee is $175 and all residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed regularly and treated for any known medical issues. *breeds are not guaranteed* *If a yard is present, a fence is required. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abelle, a Minot Beagle/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Minot, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Minot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minot paves the way for another one to be saved.
