Ivan's Story...
Ivan is a great friendly dog!! He was turned over to us when his family moved away and couldn't take him with them.  He loves people of all ages and is good with other dogs. He's such an easy going fellow! He's up for being a cuddly couch potato or going on an energetic hike. Ivan is not only so good looking, but a smart boy and is very affectionate.  He also loves kids. He is potty-trained, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered.

If you are interested in meeting Ivan, please call Jill Gasparac at (760) 288-3119 or e-mail her at today!

Please note that we post our Outreach Dogs to help them gain exposure on the Internet by serving as a conduit to make the initial contact with the potential homes. All future communications and transactions will be between you and the foster homes, unless otherwise is discussed in advance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivan, a Marina del Rey German Shepherd Dog/Afghan Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Afghan Hound for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Afghan Hound dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Afghan Hound breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Afghan Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
