My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey guys, my name is Teddy and I am a 7-8 year old male Chow. I know...I know..how does one of the worlds cutest and most adorable dogs end up in rescue? Well, that is a story I am about to share with you. :)

I had an owner. I had my person. I thought I had a forever home. I mean, I knew exactly when she would get home from work, when it was dinner time, when it was cuddle time. I had everything down to a point...which isn't surprising after 8 years of being together. Lately, she seemed to lose more and more interest in me and I soon spent more and more time outside. I started getting bored and I got away one day. I was so excited..it had been awhile since I had something this exciting going on. It was all fun and games until animal control turned up though. Next thing I knew I was in the shelter. It was almost a walk of shame because I could hear the other dogs whispering "Oh, he has a home", "He won't be here long", "Your one of the lucky ones pup". What they didn't know along with me was that my owner wasn't coming. She knew I was in the shelter...she knew I was there all alone and she never came for me. The shelter was overfull and after my stray hold they said I needed to go NOW...the shelter is no place for an older dog like me. They put out a plea for me and luckily...luckily this rescue saw me! I was soon on my freedom ride to a new life!

I am now in a foster home where I am doing amazing! I act like I have lived there my whole life and fit right in. I am great with other dogs, ignore the cats. and seem to be housebroken. You can guess where the name Teddy came from...because I mean look at me! I am just a big ole 40lb teddy bear! I always wear a smile and am looking forward to meeting my forever family! I know my coat isn't the nicest right now but my fosters are working on it and here soon it will be just as beautiful as it once was!

My adoption fee is $150 and I will be fully vetted, neutered, micro-chipped, negative for heart-worms, and current on flea/tick and heart-worm prevention. If you would like to add this ole teddy bear to your family then please fill out an adoption app at http://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
