Sassy's Story...
Meet gorgeous Sassy. Sassy is an affectionate and very loving 2 year old female Golden Retriever/Catahoula mix. She has lots of energy and loves to run at top speeds around the play yard. Once she gets that initial burst of energy out, she calms down and is walks fabulously on a leash. She is very people oriented and would love to spend hours hanging out with humans and playing fetch with balls, of all sizes. Her foster thinks that she would make an excellent running partner for someone. Sassy knows some basic commands like sit, down, handshake, and stay and is potty trained. She also does great with both dogs and cats!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassy, a Austin Golden Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Austin, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
