Roxie's Story...
Roxie is a small young beagle who is a total sweetheart. Roxie and Red were previously owned by a hunter in Maine who is no longer hunting with them. Roxie is a little shy in new situations and has been quiet and easy at her foster home in Maine this week. She's good with the kids there, has learned to use the doggie door to go out, and is crate-trained. Roxie loves attention and will be a good companion. She is a year old and weighs about 22 lbs. Arriving in Massachusetts in mid July.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Lexington Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
