Dayton's Story...
Want to feel appreciated? Adopt Dayton! He was living in a home on Dayton Street in Phoenixville. The owners moved and left Dayton behind! The family that moved in did not want him in the yard, so they allowed their children to throw rocks and whatever else at him. He didn’t know where to go, having lived in this yard his whole life. He would stay in the next door neighbor’s yard but became scared and skinny. This went on for months and month. The neighbor finally called Green Lane Vet for help and they called SCB. A SCB volunteer went and got him. He was sooo scared. But, when he was given a bath and then put on the floor and pet. He was thrilled. He did every “happy” thing he could think of – he purred, he kneaded, he rubbed. Dayton is super friendly and so appreciative to be safe and loved. He does not like being in a cage and will try to get out right away. He just wants to be with YOU! Adopt him and he will never let you forget how great you are!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dayton, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
