My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

April must have a guardian angel! She presumably was hit by a car that left her with a badly fractured leg and pelvis, laying on the side of the road. A Good Samaritan picked her up and took her to a vet clinic. We then were contacted and asked if we could help April. Of course we could not turn away a puppy that most likely lived on the streets and did not even had a chance to enjoy puppyhood yet. So, please meet our sweet, affectionate goofball, April.

April is the cutest mix of Labrador Retriever and Border Collie. She was born around 1/27/2017 and is now 5 month old. She will be a medium size pup when all grown up.

She has healed up nicely and now can run as fast as the wind.  She had urinary incontinence after her injury but it's improving with time, although she does leak when she's excited.
April is one of our lucky pups, who has landed herself a spot at an amazing foster home with many other dogs to play with. She gets along with all dogs in the home, 6 in total. April has an average energy level, is super friendly with all people and keeps her crate clean.

Here is what else her foster mom had to say about her:
“She wants to play all the time.  She loves to tussle with her furry foster siblings.  She is a very gentle, submissive player -- she'll roll over if the other pup thinks she's getting too obnoxious.  She loves chewy toys, and does the craziest thing when she drinks -- she puts one paw IN the water. Every time.  She may like to swim.  Haven't tried that with her.

She isn't super clingy with humans.  We were all on the couch last night and she kind of did her own thing.  But that may be because the other dogs were hogging all the space.  She seems fine on a leash -- not a big puller but also not really experienced with being on one.  Last night was her first night in a crate.  She cried for about 3 minutes.  Slept through the night after that.  Kept her crate clean.  We left her in a crate this afternoon when we out, and same thing -- clean crate when we got home.  She would probably love to be in a home with other dogs to play with, but she's a puppy and would be just fine with playful humans instead.

She does have a loose bladder.  It's not lack of house training -- seems like a control issue which is related to her pelvis injury.  I'm told she used to have no control and require diapers, and she doesn't need them anymore, so she's already made big strides here. April is like the easiest pup ever, can't imagine she'd have a problem in any family situation.”

Miss April is ready to share the joys of puppy hood with that special family. Is that you?
