I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Tanner's Story...
Meet Tanner, a smart, happy, confident, affectionate and extra attractive red dobie with a docked tail and cropped ears. Tanner is basically a big puppy who just turned two. This boy needs a family that likes to exercise as he has a lot of puppy energy to burn. This guy’s zest for life and athleticism shouldn’t be wasted on the sofa. Tanner could live with another dog who does not want to dominate him as he is not submissive and enjoys energetic play. He is learning to stay off the sofa, but would love to cuddle in bed, if not instructed otherwise. Tanner is friendly with people, but is exuberant, mouthy and jumpy when playing so would be best for a home without young children (12 and up). He is probably too spirited to live with cats. Tanner is crate trained and housebroken, but since he is still such a puppy he needs to be watched closely or he will chew things. No bedding in the crate for this guy as it is just too fun to chew. Tanner is very alert, but not a big barker and only barks when necessary. He is sensitive and eager to please. A simple “ah-ah” as a correction is all you need to redirect him. Tanner loves the car and being with his people so will make an excellent walking/running companion. His foster mother walks him at least two miles a day in the pm and he would gladly walk more. This dog is wonderful! With time, consistency and training a lucky family will have a true gem!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tanner, a Arlington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
