Hi there! My name is Vera and I am a sweet female beagle that needs to find my forever home. I am approx. 6 years old and weigh about 27 lbs. I was surrendered to a shelter in South Carolina along with 5 doggie siblings. I don’t know why we were all surrendered to the shelter. Perhaps it was just too much work to take care of so many dogs. Penny Angels came to my rescue 4 hours before my time was up at the shelter. It would not have been a good outcome for me if I wasn’t rescued at that time. I stayed in a foster home for several days until it was time for me to travel up to NJ. I have been with Penny Angels Beagle Rescue for 6 weeks so that I could receive treatment for heartworms. If I had been given a monthly heartworm preventative (that guards against a bite from an infected mosquito), it could’ve been avoided. It is all behind me now that my treatment is completed. I am definitely ready to start my home search! I should not have any problems from the heartworms and will go home with a 6 month supply of Heartgard.
My Rescue mom said that I am a calm and delightful girl! I love everyone that I meet and especially enjoy the other dogs here at Penny Angels! I can’t believe how lucky I am to have found such a wonderful group of people who were all willing to work together to help me find a new place to live! I will be at Petsmart on Saturday from 11-3 pm so that potential adopters can meet me. Could you be my new doggie mom or doggie dad?
