Brooklyn is a 3-4 year old female Lab mix who came to us as a country stray wandering the country side with nobody to care for her. This girl was covered with ticks when she came in and was miserable but we've taken good care of her and ridden her of the ticks that covered her upper body. This girl is super sweet and loves to be around human companions; she would be good as an inside doggie as long as her new family gave her a good schedule and plenty of outside time to keep her on track for house training. Brooklyn is good with other dogs, cats and children who promise to treat her sweetly.

Brooklyn's adoption fee is $100.00 which covers her wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and spay surgery.
BROOKLYN, Labrador Retriever Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6
Wednesday & Saturday: 12-4
Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
