Introducing Perdita and Priscilla, this mother-daughter duo are looking for a new place to call their own. Perdita and Priscilla have made their way back to the whe their Guinea Pig savvy family found the piggies were not comfortable with really young children, so the ideal home would have children about 10 or so, who are gentle and patient with animals.

Perdita and Priscilla are quite shy and nervous around people, but once they get the chance to warm up to someone, they are happy to get some cuddles and lap-time! These tri-coloured beauties do have longer fur and will require regular brushing, nail clipping, and the occasional hair trim. Perdita loves getting her daily fruits and veggies, and like mother, like daughter, so does Priscilla!

Guinea pigs have an average lifespan of 5-7 years, so Perdita and Priscilla are looking for a fur-ever home that will let these perfect princess lead a pampered life in the lap of luxury. If Perdita and Priscilla sound like the pair for you, come visit them at the centre today!

About BC SPCA - Surrey Education & Adoption Centre

About Our Shelter...

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
