Meet Sharla Mae
When MARS found out that Sharla Mae had been living in an over-crowded Arkansas shelter for TWO YEARS, of course we stepped up to bring her into our “family”.
The first thing we noticed about her was her amazing spirit! This girl hopped out of the transport van after a two day excursion and greeted everyone she met with a wiggle of her butt and sweet kisses. She continues to endear us with her laid back personality and gentle soul.
Unfortunately, she has some medical needs that MARS needs assistance in funding. She has a condition called Entropion, which means her eyelids roll inward and requires surgery by a specialist. As you can imagine, this is not only a very painful condition for her, not correcting it can cause serious damage to her eyes.
In addition, she needs to have a few fractured teeth removed and she’s heartworm positive. The treatment to save her life is also very costly but one we are committed to giving her.
This sweet amazing girl deserves the best rest of her life possible. Please consider being a part of her journey to happily-ever-after by making even a small donation towards her medical costs.
Sharla Mae is on medical hold until mid September but you are welcome to fill out an adoption application by clicking the button below.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
