Garnet & Amber are two bonded brown tabby sisters who are looking for someone to love them as much as they'll love you. They are super sweet and have the energy typical of young cats. Garnet is the more dominant of the two and Amber is shyer, but is also the prankster of the duo. Neither wants to be away from the other for longer than about a minute. They are very cat friendly and have had no issue with any other adult or kitten foster or with any of my personal cats (other than the expected random hissing).

Currently Garnet is more cooperative about being picked up, but they're both getting used to both picked up and cuddled. Garnet is the first to jump in your lap, but Amber is quick to follow so she can get some of the attention. Garnet loves to make biscuits. Amber loves to hold your hand or fingers while she nibbles & kisses on them. Both girls are chatty - especially when watching CatTV (the birdfeeder) from the cat tree in the window.

About Half the way home

About Our Rescue Group...

Half The Way Home is focused on the forgotten ones: the feral mommies and babies, the injured and sick, the seniors that deserved better than being left in animal control because they weren't wanted anymore, the itty bitty hissy spitty's that with a little love will turn into the most wonderful kittens and of course, those in rural shelters with little to no hope of rescue.

Our Adoption Process...

We adopt to indoor only (unless it is a barn cat relocation situation), and absolutely no declawing. Our kittens are $125 for one, or two for $150. We do not require you to adopt two kittens together. 6 months to a year old are $75. $50 for one year or older. We are partnered with Best Friends and follow their specials along with monthly promotions of our own.
