Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scarlett is a beautiful female kitten who arrived at the HSOV on the evening of May 9, 2017 and joined her two sisters (Thelma & Louise) who had been rescued from beneath a church in Belpre Ohio a few days earlier.
These three little kittens were just 5-weeks old at that time and had been brought to the shelter without their mother :( Their mother was still at the church so our Humane Officers set a live trap in hopes that she could be rescued as well. Their mother was never found but, fortunately for the kittens, there was a neutered male (Church) in the trap on May 6th who was brought to our shelter. We originally thought he was their mother, so he was placed with the kittens, and they dearly loved him (and vice versa!). We've affectionately dubbed Church 'Mr. Mom' since he assumed the role of mother to those three tiny kittens. They are still together in a double-wide cage and dong fantastic.
Scarlett has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable triangular-shaped face. This lovely young lady has blossomed into a social butterfly and is a happy playful kitten these days (thanks to Church/Mr. Mom) :)
Scarlett was given vaccinations, wormer, and Revolution flea treatment on May 10, 2017 (and has been given booster vaccines). She will be spayed in the near future and available for adoption. We hope that she will find a home with one of her sisters or Church/Mr. Mom.
These updated photos of Scarlett were taken on July 1, 2017. This little beauty queen was fascinated by that purple/white basket and a delight to photograph!
Scarlett was spayed on July 26, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 4.2 lbs on htat date. Scarlett was combo tested on July 26, 2017 and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.
