Lexie's Story...
Alexandria (Lexie) was rescued by a BMAR friend! She has been with us since summer of 2015 and though she has adjusted well at our shelter Lexie needs a home and someone to play with. Lexie causes no problems and is very friendly. She has had a thorough check up and is ready to find a forever home. She is flea free (Comfortis), wormed, & vaccinated. This is a friendly, loving dog and needs a family. She does NOT need to be in a shelter. She is good with everyone and everything.

Young Wolf Hound Mix and is a very problem free & easy keep girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexie, a Hemphill Irish Wolfhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Wolfhound for sale in Hemphill, or seeking a Irish Wolfhound dog from a breeder in Hemphill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hemphill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hemphill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Wolfhound breeders who help with Irish Wolfhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hemphill paves the way for another one to be saved.
