Leo's Story...
Leo is a low/medium energy Labrador mix puppy, between 11 months and 1 year of age, weighing 46 pounds. He will be a medium sized dog when full grown. He is a friendly and social guy, getting along great with other dogs and every human he meets. Leo is even okay around cats. Leo makes a great family dog as he has a terrific well-rounded disposition. He loves his play time but also enjoys snuggling with his people. Leo does enjoy long walks and he even likes his car rides. He is fully housetrained and is trained to sit, stay, lie down and shake a paw. Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Leo has been neutered, dewormed and fully vaccinated. He is being fostered in Vancouver, BC now and is ready for that perfect family to call his own. If you would like to adopt Leo, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Victoria Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Victoria, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Victoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Victoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Victoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Victoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
