Hi! I'm Damon! I've spent my whole life on a chain and with no shelter. I'm at a home with numerous dogs and in a very rural area. This rescue has no foster space available at this time but is trying desperately to find me a awesome forever home where I will be loved as a member of someone's family. I'm an awesome dog that doesn't deserve to live like this! I hope to find my loving forever home soon! And yes, I'm on handsome boy! I'm approx. 1-2 years old and approx. 65 solid pounds(7/9). I'm extremely sweet, loving, friendly and playful. I went right up to the lady taking my pictures who is on a wheelchair and tried to get in her lap. I gave her kisses. I'm great with older kids. Right now I'm a little hyper because I'm chained up all of the time and might accidentally knock a small child over when I try to play with them. Once I get a forever home with a big fenced in yard, I will calm right down and be so easy to train. I can't wait to finally stretch my legs and put my ears in the wind! I'm highly intelligent! With the right owner/s, I will blossom into the perfect dog in no time! I'd make a great companion for anyone who loves the outdoors. We could go hiking, camping, running and/or walking everyday. I love car rides and ride well. I would love to have someone who is going to play with me everyday and give me plenty of exercise. I hope when it's time for a nap or bedtime that I have a big fluffy dog bed to lie down on inside or maybe even sleep right next to my new human! I really enjoy being petted and loved on! The more, the better! I need to be the only pet in the home because I'm going to love getting all of the attention! Plus, I haven't been tested with cats or other dogs. Because I get so little food, I don't like to share with other dogs. If you're a loving, compassionate person that's looking for a great furry companion you can truly save and give a much better life to, then look no further! I'm ready to learn new things and FINALLY live the good life I so richly deserve! I'd love to be an exciting addition to your wonderful life! I'll provide the unconditional love and you can provide the safe and loving home! Belly rubs are a must!

All pets come with up-to-date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and health certificate from veterinarian within 48-72 hrs of transport. All pets come from NC/VA (our euthanasia rate is approx 85%) and must be quarantined (to ensure health) prior to leaving the state.
