Oh, it is always so heartbreaking to get a request to help find a permanent home for a beloved pair of kitties. It is only because their owner’s health is fragile that taking care of her sweet kitties is something she cannot do for much longer. She contacted our organization to help find a wonderful home for this sweet pair.
Leo is a social boy as is quite typical of the orange and white breed of cats, especially males. Everyone who has ever met or owned an orange and white kitty knows only too well what we mean by that.
Leo’s owner tells us that he treats his bonded, lovely girlfriend Poppi like old fashioned husbands used to treat their wives. When he is displeased, he will try to pick a fight with her, but she gives it right back with interest! Well, she is a Calico, after all, so I can only imagine how entertaining this must be to watch.
Leo lets his current owner know when it’s her bedtime and he curls up next to her. He is so smart and knows if she is hurting somewhere as he curls up next to that place. As his human mom comments, it’s very nice, except when she has a chest cold! He won’t let Poppi come up on the bed then. But if Poppi mews to him from the next room, he gets down and goes to her.
So if you need a smart therapy kitty, here is your boy!
Since their owner is elderly and doesn’t have children or grandchildren, Leo has not been exposed to any children. However, cat savvy children are typically not an issue with sweet kitties.
Leo has not been exposed to other cats or to dogs, so we don’t know how he would do with other felines or canines.
He is up to date with all of his vaccinations and he uses his litter box without any issues.
